MODERN EDUCATIONAL TECHNOLOGIES AS A TOOL FOR STUDENT’S THEORETICAL THINKING DEVELOPMENT

Abstract

Background. The work’s topicality is conditioned by modern Federal State Educational Standards of Secondary Education, which are distinguished by their activity-oriented nature and focus of student’s personality development. A new generation of standards leads to changes in the forms and content of education, to transition from accumulation of data to the development of thinking, to the students’ ability to independently arrange their education. The aim of this work is to analyze the opportunities of modern educational technologies in student’s theoretical thinking development.
Materials and methods. The research tasks was implemented through the use of a system of interconnected and complementary methods, adequate to the purpose: the methods of corresponding psychological and pedagogical literature analysis, observation, survey, experiment.
Results. Based on the analysis of the literature, the article presents different points of view on the definition of “educational technology”, substantiates the necessary conditions of teachers’ work aimed at designing the teaching process to develop thinking, and proves the necessity of using an integrated course implemented on the basis of modern educational technologies aimed students’ theoretical thinking development.
Conclusions. The use of modern learning technologies in practice can successfully solve the problem of student’s theoretical thinking development.
